Head to the new visitors center—more than twice the size of the original—to learn about the best trails. The John Glenn Astronomy Park offers stargazing and free programs on weekends. An 81-room lodge opened in late 2022, with a restaurant, indoor pool and outdoor pool. Elegant rooms, a spa and secluded trails round out a stay in the adults-only spot near Rockbridge. Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center Ohio's newest state park lodge, opened in fall 2022, offers accommodations just steps from the trails at Hocking Hills State Park. The two-story lodge includes 81 rooms, both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a fitness center, and games like Ping-Pong and cornhole. Cabins are also available. Kindred Spirits. Kevin J. Miyazaki/Redux Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls Guest rooms and cottages nail the cozy retreat-in-the-woods aesthetic, down to the in-room fireplaces and forest views. High-end yurts come with a dome for stargazing. The on-site restaurant, Kindred Spirits, dishes upscale American fare, and nearby trails lead into Hocking Hills State Park.
